Role-Playing Game videogame for the PS2 platform by publisher Koei and distributer Nippon Ichi Software. Disgaea 2 is appropriate for newcomers to the genre itself, having memorable characters and dialogs, deep mechanics, and a promise of future sequels make this videogame series one of the best showcase of the PS2.
It's unsurprising that this videogame sequel is essentially the same videogame with a new story and few tweaks here and there to freshen the formula. Indeed, for the first five hours or so there's very little to distinguish the two games from each other save the new cast and storyline.
In this videogame having placed in the world of Veldime, you control the young red headed boy known as Adel. The story begins with Overlord Zenon, The King of Demons who has cursed Adel's hometown where the people are now losing their memories and are changing into demons themselves ravashing the world.
As a tragic event from his Mother begins, Zenon's Daughter Rosari has appeared to the world and is quite annoyed at the situation making Adel promise that he'll help her get back home to her Father Zenon. Though on their journey to her Home, Adel has much more on his mind than taking her back to her Father.
Battles will take place on a 3D grid based field. During combat, players will take turns between the enemy to move and attack. Key Features Geo panel based strategic battle system lift & throw with stack attacks Dark assembly/court system where the sinners are praised All-new animated sequence with vastly improved 3D environment Over 100 hours of sleepless game play.
Other fun additions to the game include cell phones, which are items earned through combat that allow you to call for help both during and outside of battle.
Another returning feature in Disgaea 2 is the ability to stack your characters on top of each other in order to throw them to distant locations on the battlefield – a very handy way to move party members into otherwise unreachable positions with ease.
And while you have all the time in the world to make your decisions, once taken there's no going back and so second chances. Disgaea 2, sequel to the King of the Strategy RPG, is far more concerned with the method.
