Grandia 2 is a PlayStation 2 role-playing video game with manga characters exploiting the power of the PS2. Developer GameArts brings this Sony's PS2 video game after the first Grandia was published only in Japan for the Sega Saturn back in 1997.
A deep, rich and captivating storyline. You know the cast of this video game. You've seen it before. They may have had different names and different looks, but they're still the same for the most part.
Publisher Ubisoft participated in the Gandia 2 corny project which story is developed during the most fabled times of great deeds and fantastic adventures, with magic and battles to encourage royalty. Such a time was the era of Grandia. Such a tale is the trial of Ryudo. But t here's quite a bit of silly humor throughout Gandia 2 that even those with different sense of humor will find hilarious.
On the gameplay realm, the battles take place in b eautiful 3D landscapes and environments and over 1000 characters that your different heroes will have to run up to an enemy to attack them. And if your Gandia 2's characters can't reach the rival before they run out of movement points, it's not going to be a nice way of dying.
There's several AI's in this video game depending on what you'd like the characters to do for any general situation. And it has easy-to-use interface catering to newcomers and hardcore RPG fans alike.
Gandia 2 sounds are barely good, in general, but you can tell a lot of effort went into making the game sound good . Horrible sound effects for footfalls and doors opening. The voices are all done fairly well for the genre and the style.
Likewise, the music fits into the typical anime/console RPG category with pseudo techno/rock/new age stuff floating around trying its best to drive me crazy. While it didn't succeed in driving me crazy, it didn't exactly impress me either.
