High Seize
Monday February 20, 2006.

Strategy game for the Nokia N-Gage platform High Seize is an utterly compelling single player game combined with a dangerously addictive multiplayer title developed by the team that looks to better know the Nokia N-Gage platform, RedLynx.

The N-Gage High Seize game allows 1 to 4 players to get the most fun of it.  With its multiplayer feature, One to four players can go head to head over Bluetooth, N-Gage Arena and, just like PTG, Hot seat, so again only one device is needed for four players.
Taking place in the 17th Century Caribbean, you are given the role of a former Navy captain of the British fleet who has retired to a peaceful life as a fisherman. You must lead your units to victory through a series of battles that unfold over grid-based environments.

The different types of terrain have an affect on your units, so you must always keep an eye on this as you move your units across the field. Units have different movement and attack patterns, too, so you need to bear this mind as you plan your assault on enemy pirates and forces.
It really is the next best thing to Advance Wars. You can even play online -- something Nintendo's game doesn't offer. As long as you won't be too put off by the tough difficulty level, High Seize is something every tactical RPG fan should pick up.

Lush jungle environments, mountainous regions and some beautiful water effects all combine to bring the Caribbean to life and on a tiny screen like the N-Gage's that is some feat. During a battle the game cuts to a unit vs. unit screen where you see the damage caused. And the damage remains.

Music is good and the sound effects are excellent, even on the N-Gage QD's mono speaker. The sound is also excellent, with the usual wide array of speech accompanying unit actions and often banters between the commanders during the battle.
