KINGDOM HEARTS: CHAINS OF MEMOIRES
Monday Jul 3, 2006.

Gameboy Advance Kingdom Hearts has a loyal group of fans, a number that will rise now with the unique collaboration of Disney Interactive and Square Enix Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is available for not only existing fans but for new players looking for a magical adventure.

Sora is back with his loyal friends, Donald Duck, and Goofy. While meandering in open fields, they enter a massive gate of a vast castle where they encounter an ambiguous robed figure that speaks only in riddles. It soon becomes apparent that the three friends have become trapped in a place called Castle Oblivion where mere playing cards take on special attributes. While villainous activities occur at the castle, the trio begins exploring to find King Mickey and Sora’s friend Riku.

Among its features, this Gambeboy Advance videogame comes with special cards which are the key to traveling and advancing in Kingdom Hearts: Chain Of Memoires. The cards can be combined for a number of different spells, abilities, tactics and combination attacks.

Doors can be unlocked and treasures can be discovered with the right cards. The keyblade can be used in striking objects to open them or in initiating an attack with an enemy. The enemies are called the Heartless and wander about each room. Finally, you will be exploring and shaping the worlds you explore through "map cards." In fact, every time you reach a door you must open it with a "map card." These map cards are found as loot after duels and deciding which variety will affect the sort of "area" you will end up in and its contents. This adds a lot of fun and strategy to the game.

The graphics are absolutely incredible for being on a GBA. I've been playing Chain of Memories (CoM) on my Nintendo DS and often thought "wow, this DS does have good graphics..." just to remember I was playing a GBA game! In particular, the cinematic cutscenes could easily be N64 quality.
