MADAGASCAR
Monday July 4, 2005.

Fighting for survival has never been this much fun in the Xbox. By the controls of Madagascar , video game developer Activision transformed the hilarious DreamWorks Animation movie franchise into what they promised to be a goofy kid game as the animation film. Kid game Madagascar lets players enter the creative and incredible adventure world of four New York Central Park Zoo lifelong friends: Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe, and Gloria the hippo.

Activision's version of Madagascar perfectly suits the Xbox platform, but it can also be played in other platforms like Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, and PC with the following requirements: 800 MB disk space, 256 MB RAM, 32 MB VRAM, and 6X CD-ROM.

This adventurous kid game features a group of eccentric animals living in the Central Park Zoo in which Marty the zebra drops out from the city life to the wild jungle of Madagascar, bringing with him all his pals: a less humble but funny lion, a paranoid giraffe, and a rough but dignified hippo.

With this fantastic kid game, PC, Nintendo DS, Xbox, and Game Boy Advance players can take individual control of the four friends, and one of the penguins during different levels. Moreover, t he videogame allows players to master each animal's natural skills with similar and b asic controls for each animal, though each has his or her own unique attacks and special abilities, which can be earned by collecting special power cards scattered about each level.

Reasonably lengthy for a kid game, Madagascar shouldn't take any platform - Xbox, Nintendo DS, Game Boy Advance, and PC - player more than five hours to hit. Kids are able to collect a fair amount of special items within the gameplay, such as Monkey Money and Tikis.

Technically, the graphical work used in Madagascar is acceptable when one just compares that the videogame and film characters look alike although the background environments are excessively repeated, not as pleasing to look at, and that the textures are sort of flat.

However, the audio fares better, largely due to the solid voice of specialized videogame actors even though the witty film voices of Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer and Jada Pinkett Smith weren't able for this kid game.
