This new addition to the series of Ninja Gaiden from Team Ninja is a must have among the Xbox video game market. We say that this game is very similar to the last version of the game that we reviewed last summer, for the Xbox but with all its flaws fixed.
Ninja Gaiden Black for the Xbox is an action adventure game, in which you do not just keep fighting, but you gradually acquire new moves and tactics, you constantly find valuable items, you shop for useful goods, and you slowly gain access to larger and larger portions of the game world.
Ninja Gaiden Black now is fully loaded to blast everyone with this powerful yet strong and good looking game ever made for the Xbox. We invite you to play it. You won’t be disappointed.
Ninja Gaiden Black is faithful to its original plot game but includes the live content, this means, the hurricane packs that were made available on Xbox Live, new difficulty levels on top of that, plus the new mission mode and the original arcade Ninja Gaiden Game.
Now, this game has the lockable option, that is, you have to finish the game in story mode first before unlocking the hardest missions in this fabulous Xbox game. Also, this game multiple difficulties are much more substantial and compelling than usual. Enemies and item placements change from one difficulty mode to the next but it still has elements of excitement and discovery.
Gameplay
The game begins when Ryu Hayabusa's village is attacked and the evil Dark Dragon Blade is stolen from its centuries-old resting place, the young master ninja brandishes his family's legendary Dragon Sword and sets off on the trail of the villains responsible.
The entire game looks beautiful and runs at a perfectly smooth frame rate. The visuals are amazing; the enemies are quite diverse, great-looking, surprisingly smart, and mostly very dangerous. Yet Ryu himself has such an impressive variety of effective moves that defeating them all, as intimidating as it may seem, never is impossible. The look and feel of the action is outstanding and is a very challenging game to play because the enemies get harder every second of the gameplay.
The game sounds wonderful, too. Options for English or Japanese voice-over are available. The sound of combat is amazing, especially Ryu’s battle screams. The environmental sounds are just appropriate to every scene of the game.
