Xbox 360's Rainbow Six: Vegas presents a new team of Rainbow Warriors, as they take to the streets of America. The future of global security hangs in the balance as you battle to defend classic Vegas locations and environments like Freemont Street, The Strip, and Casinos.
Rainbow operatives take to the chaotic streets of Las Vegas as an escalating terrorist siege in “Sin City” threatens to take world terrorism to new, uncontrollable heights.
Most of the story unfolds while you are playing the game, either in helicopter briefings while you are flying to your next target or while you are on foot from an audio and video feed in the top left of your screen.
The game is shipping with 10 multiplayer maps, including several old favorites like Streets and Kill Town. Unlike the previous video games in the Rainbow Six series, Vegas actually has an engaging single-player campaign that doesn't feel like a collection of unrelated missions loosely tied together by a threadbare storyline. The video game introduces a new leading man, Logan Keller, so that you and your team are tasked with taking down Irena Morales, an international terrorist who is determined to wreak havoc in Nevada's neon-lit City of Sin.
The combat is presented primarily from the first-person perspective, and many of the actions are mapped to the same buttons on the Xbox 360 they've always been tied to. And by holding down the left trigger, you'll be able to take cover against nearly any object or wall, and you can quickly pop out to fire a few shots or blind fire at any enemies that are advancing on your position.
The game features some excellent smoke and particle effects, and it's impossible not to be impressed by the way the blood from your enemies splatters against walls and other objects.
