SpellForce, a highly enjoyable RTS/RPG (Real Time Strategy/Role Playing Game) videogame from publishers JoWood, is an immeasurable greed and constant thirst for power among PC video game players.
The thirteen most powerful Mages of all time doomed the land into a chaos. Huge armies, bound by the power of ancient runes, had brought war and destruction to the lands that survived the initial onslaught. Continents disappeared. All that was left were a few islands, connected by magic portals.
Publisher Jowood. SpellForce is a build your own character style game as well. In it, you play as a rune-warrior. The game really isn't manageable in third person perspective. The difference here is that during the course of your adventure you occasionally chance upon a shrine which allows you to summon units or heroes. The types of units you can summon depend upon which runes you happen to have.
As you progress in the missions further into the storyline the maps get larger, the enemies more numerous, and the ability to exploit your resources and carry out a sound tactical battle-plan assumes greater importance.
Spell Force has a solid graphic. They have a crisp brightness that is pleasing to the eye and the depiction of various units, buildings, and landscape features remains clear and definable even when zooming out. The 3D landscape is vibrant and full wildlife colors, buildings are varied and aesthetic as well as character animations.
You can zoom right in or out to bird eye. You can rotate the camera to your heart's content. When you are fully zoomed in you always see your hero's backside.

The soundtrack is very, very good. All text is audible. Also, the sound effects are good too but unfortunately there are reviews that states the Spellforce.s voice acting is dire and yes, it does hurt the game a little. If there was an option to turn off the voices, I'd use it and just rely on good old text.
