This game has so much of a tense atmosphere that players will forgive its producer for not creating a game with revolutionary content. Graphically, it will become one of the top addictive games to hit the PS2 this year.
For Xbox and PS2 gamers, this third-person shooter videogame puts them in the feet of one of a trio of hired guns sent out to North Korea to try to take down an insane general. The military, General Song, decided to kill his own father due to his willingness to unify the two Koreas once and for all as the best step to go down in history.
With this videogame, developer Pandemic and publisher LucasArts give us a stomp around a pseudo-fictional Korean battleground. T he Allied Nations have reacted. They realize that North Korea will become an international threat if it is ruled by that maniac. China wants to expand its land and thinks taking over the smaller country would be relatively easy if the General disappears from the scene.
The South Koreans, on the other hand, are more worried about the country's sizable nuclear arsenal which is aimed in their direction. And there is the Russian Mafia, which just mind to take advantage of the clashes and put its service to the highest bidder.
At the beginning, you'll be given basic equipment, such as vehicles and weapons that might help you along your way. Be wise on how you use them. In this way, the game is wide-open, as you can handle things brash or kind.
In Mercenaries , your job is to make as much money as you can from all of these factions by accepting contracts from them. Not bad at all! But most of the missions you take from one faction will require you to attack one of the others, which will change how they both feel about you. Does it require some loyalty? No way!
Your bottom line in the game is, however, the amount of carnage and destruction you can cause. Just about anything in the game can be shot, blown up, or knocked down employing a wide range of methods. The videogame's graphics are excellent. Technically, it's installed on the top tier of PS2 releases.
