Winning Eleven 8
Monday April 28, 2005.

Also known as Pro Evolution Soccer 4, this game has been based upon the Microsoft Xbox and Play Station 2 game consoles. It is d eveloped by the legendary Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka and his team of footballing experts at Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo, Inc. Nothing in the game is easy, but all of it seems real. While soccer is a low-scoring sport, there is an art to advancing the ball, trapping a rush, and beating a man one on one.

This year's gameplay is as rich as ever; the number and quality of the animations is phenomenal. It is also a satisfying soccer game for a couple of reasons. The first one: you have control over every aspect of the game. There are a ton of different dribbles, running speeds, passes, shots, through balls, shots, feints, and defensive options that are all easy to learn and are very effective when used in the right situations. “The right situations” is the other area where Winning Eleven 8 really shines.

In the training mode you'll cut your teeth on all the skills needed to successfully direct your players in a winning fashion. For those that play Winning Eleven on a regular basis, there's only one mode really worthy of devotion: Master League.

With this game mode, your player's skills change over time. Game players must evaluate their team and make adjustments, which is realistic.

A new 'My Best Eleven' option allows fans to save their greatest teams for prosperity, and players can now be forced to retire through severe injury during the course of a Master League season. T he only real downside is that it lacks online play via Xbox Live, but the gameplay is strong enough in Winning Eleven 8 that it is still well worth owning.

Adding goals

To add additional goals for your team, make a goal the normal way. When the ball has passed the line, press Start. Go to the "Replay" option. Every time you watch the replay, you will add one more goal on the scoreboard.
